This release is a very impressive debut for this barely one-year-old band. Amber’s towering vocal spreads through the opening track and doesn’t quit until the last note on “Here We Go.”(…)Amber Farris just might turn out to be the female version of Rhett Miller and the band might be the next Old 97’s. Somebody’s Darling is breath of fresh air in this day and age of wannabe alt-country bands that seem to form every four hours in Texas.
